Rotary
Many Rotary clubs have helped us with this project throughout the years. Rotary District 7850 provided a grant to start our animal husbandry program, clubs have sponsored children, and our angel donor was a Rotarian as well contributing funds to build the kitchen.
Norwich University
Norwich volunteers have been traveling to Tanzania since 2014. Teams have been helping Upendo Mmoja build various buildings for their Campus, help teach teach the kids English, and volunteer in the Community.
The Norwich University Rotaract Club were the ones to provide the initial donation to buy Upendo's first plot of land which is where the Center stands today!
Norwich has also partnered with local Interact Clubs, and local High Schools such as GMTCC to provide service opportunities for students to travel to Pommerin to volunteer alongside Upendo Mmoja.
Africa Exchange Project
Another local non-profit benefiting the schools in Pommerin. Volunteers with this organization have helped Upendo Mmoja in the past by donating a well so they have access to fresh water and even helping to build our Carpentry and Craft Workshop!
We are grateful for all the organizations that help out the Pommerin Community and we are grateful they want to help with our projects too!
